BOA – Barbados Olympic Association has been named their final athletes list who will be represent Barbados in the 2019 Pan American games.
As per Fixtures, Pan American games Multisports events to be schedule to played between 24 July to 11 August.
Barbados who will be representing the 31 athletes in the 12 disciplines. Athletes with disciplines are as below.
In Events of aquatics – Alex Sobers, Luis Sebastian Weekes, Jack Kirby and Danielle Titus; athletics – Sonia Gaskin, Tia-Adana Belle, Sade Sealy, Sada Williams, Shane Brathwaite, Jonathon Jones, Mario Burke, Greggmar Swift, Tristan Evelyn and Ariel Jackman; badminton – Damien Howell, Dakeil Thorpe, Sabrina Scott, and Tamisha Williams; cycling – Amber Joseph; equestrian – Roberta Foster; Golf – Emily Odwin; sailing – Amy Cox; surfing – Chelsea Tuach; shooting – Justin St. John, Michelle Elliott and Michael Maskell; taekwondo – Askia Alleyne; tennis – Darian King, Haydn Lewis and Seanon Williams, and triathlon – Matthew Wright has been included.
If we look at the stats then in the 2015 Pan Games Barbados won the three medals at toronto. Ramon Gittens won a silver medal in the events of 100 metres race while Shane Brathwaite and Akela Jones win the Bronze medal award in the 110 metres hurdles and high jump events respectively.
